Is stump grinding the same as stump removal?+
Yes. Grinding is how we remove a stump. The machine cuts it away below the surface until it is gone, and if the roots need to come out too, we take those out as part of the same job.
Do you do tree root removal as well?+
Yes, as part of the same job. Where roots are lifting the lawn, sending up shoots or sitting where a patio or extension is going, we follow them out and grind them down.
Will my lawn be ready for new turf?+
Yes. For a lawn we usually grind 20 to 40cm down and backfill with the chippings, so you can returf over the top. Going deeper for a patio, drive or building work is no problem.
Is it messy?+
Not really. We screen the area off before we start and tidy up afterwards. You are left with level ground and a pile of wood-chip mulch, which is good for borders.
Can you reach my back garden?+
Most likely. Our smallest machine is 66cm wide and fits through an average side gate.
